The Link are doing the LG Chocolate phone on Orange's Dolphin scheme, which is 500 anytime minutes and 500 texts per month for £35 per month line rental for a minimum of 18 months.

The phone is free, and you also get a free PSP with a game (football I think) and a free 2gb Silver Ipod Nano.

On top of all of this, if you go through Quidco you will get £55 cashback just for getting all of this free stuff! :j

(I checked my Quidco and within 24hours the cashback had already been validated!! I assume this means I have been accepted for the contract already too!)

I decided to go for it seeing as I currently spend £25pm on PAYG for 100mins and 200 texts a month, so regardless I am personally getting a good deal! I have heard some bad things about the LG phone but the way I see it is if it breaks, I will just get my current phone unlocked or buy a cheapish one for the time being!

They have some other good deals going at the Link too :D

I am sure that would be fine if you want a PAYG phone... I am sure someone else might find it a good deal for them, which is why I thought I would post it.
  • But if you were looking for a new contract then this is a great bundle!! Thanks op - nice find. Just gutted I've still got about 6 months left in my contract :(
  • Or browse through reestitmuttons site and find,

After cashback and £20 Quidco it's £120 for term of contract, leaving you £455 to spend on whatever electronic toys you require. So would advise that this is not a very good deal at all.

Remember the 'free' gifts are only free if all the other contracts without the gifts are the equal price....

Considering you can get the same phone on a dolphin contract with 500 text and 500 minutes without the gifts on 18 months...with 14 months free line rental. That would make the true cost: £140....So £630-£140=£490 which sounds rather a lot of money for an iPod and PSP....

Still think it is free and a good deal? Hmm unless I've made some calculation error (yes £55 for Quidco, but even so it is still a big difference)....

I bought from buymobilephones.net about 10 months ago. Great deal on Orange, with Ipod 80gb, nice phone etc. Well pleased with them.

Some valid points, but personally I have a PAYG with a £25 bundle for 100mins and 200 txts so I am getting more value for money on that alone, the freebies and cashback are just a bonus so its good for me anyway.

Seems good to me, and anyone in a similar position.

If you had a PAYG phone using £25 of credit a month any contract will be better value than that...

From the Link you could also get the same phone and on the same contract with a £315 cash back (they say 1/2 price line rental for 18 months). The Links offer page says the PSP / Game / Ipod as worth £249.

That means you paying £65 more to get the "free" items now, rather than save the money and get what you would really want. Doesn't seem a bargain to me unless your luosy at saving, or returning forms on time.

I guess quidco works for both deals so it's irrelevent to the contract cost.

Yes I would be very rubbish at returning bills on time... I dont like the idea of cashback schemes as I have heard so many negative things about them.

would always advise getting the cash alternative, free gifts are usually grayscale stock, so not officialy from uk suppliers, if something goes wrong with it link wont do anything because its free and manufacturers wouldnt becuase not official stock
