Hi,
I'd recommend Direct Save Telecom(DST). For £26.90 per month you can have up to 8Mb speeds with Unlimited Usage and also have your line rental with them as well. This will also give you free anytime calls to 01 and 02 numbers.
This is a rolling one month contract but there is a £40 activation fee to look out for.
Here is the link to their site:

AOL Silver 2MB doesn't have 12 month contract if you don't take their free modem/router.0

Thanks for this..
I am with Tiscali and costs me £24 for Line Rental + 1MB BB (£12.99 BB + £11 Line Rental)
I don't have to talk anything about Tiscali BB speed...
Will it be worth switching to this from Tiscali ?
If somebody could share experience...pls..0 -
I would stay well clear of Direct Save Telecom. Their T&C's make me want to run a mile:
2. TERM
f. Should you leave the Broadband service you agree to pay DST a disconnection fee of £50.00
That's a very cleverly concealed exit fee.
If that wasn't bad enough, they seem to be resellers but won't disclose their parent provider, they throttle P2P, FTP and Usenet and have a clause that forbids running any sort of server or filesharing.
See these links in the thinkbroadband forums for more info about this ISP:

I don't know if the T&Cs have changed since this last message before me has been posted but the £50 leaving charge only applies if you opt out before 12 months. I think that is fair.. I wouldn't call this a mothly contract but if you're willing to commit for a year, it sounds like a good deal!
Am I wrong?
Cheers!

Have a look at the Be There ADSL - their more expensive packages (ie not the Value) have a 3m notice period, or you can "buy yourself" out quicker - read the T&C's. If you go via www.quidco.com you can get £55 referral to help lessen the financial shock.
Alternatively - and I shouldn't be saying this as I do like o2 Broadband service (been with them 3.5 weeks and very pleased) - if you anticipate wanting/needing ADSL for less than 100 days, you could sign up (again via www.quidco.com to get £25 referral) with them and leave within 100 days under their current moneyback guarantee.0 -
Yep, O2 are quite good, I am migrating away from them as I no longer have an 02 mobile so it's very expensive. Will have plus net by the end of the month, but beware plus net also charge a 14.99 exit fee, as long as you don't take any equipment off them, otherwise you got to pay for that too.0
