LOL you wrote no vacancies on your job search? Why? You have to apply for jobs every week no matter what they are to be honest.being a jobs worth I guess. She refered me to a decision maker for writing no vacancy's a few times on my job search lol
some are nice and give you a print out if you missed a vacancy
Give you a print of of what?0 -
I had to send them copies of all my financial statements when I was being investigated, with all my personal info. They managed to lose three lots of it, in the end I threatened them with my MP and one lot was COURIERED back to my house - god knows that that cost.
I was having a session with my advisor who had found a load of jobs on their database and said they'd print them out, they went over to the printer and gave the pile to me and I stupidly didn't check them. When I got home I found out they'd given me documents someone else had obviously been printing out, with all the personal details of another client. When asked whether I had applied for the jobs they had given me I said no, waited while they geared up their "sanctioning" face then said they had broken the Data Protection Act and no more was said about their (stupid) jobs.
I really gave up with it, they must just store the stuff up their bottoms as god knows where else it goes.0 -
some of the sites that I have to check like monster all the vacancy's are out of town or for a position that I have no qualification for or experience in. so my sheet has 5-10 job centre applications and no vacancy for monster.MissSarah1972 wrote: »LOL you wrote no vacancies on your job search? What? You are listing sites you look on and stating 'no vacancy'? Really?some of the sites that I have to check like monster all the vacancy's are out of town or for a position that I have no qualification for or experience in. so my sheet has 5-10 job centre applications and no vacancy for monster.

They tell you off for missing a job? The screen the adviser sees is not the same as the site online.
You seem to have a very odd job search.0 -
yeah they have changed from the booklet with a minimum of three job searches to a sheet of paper with a minium of 20 things you did to look for work. There were two days there are no vacancy's on job centre site that fit the three job types I have plus the ones from monster and job site.MissSarah1972 wrote: »What? well its up to the decision maker to decide. its not like I can't top up my NI credits for a year0 -
You have signed a new job seekers agreement saying you are going to do 20 things a week to look for work?yeah they have changed from the booklet with a minimum of three job searches to a sheet of paper with a minium of 20 things you did to look for work. Are you sure this is not just a photo copy of the booklet you used to fill in as they are short on those so they photo copy them? Normally 4 sides of paper.
You can not have a 'no vacancy' situation I don't think.0 -

I used to do this when I was signing on, to prove that I had been looking, but there just wasn't anything out there that I was qualified to do. Thankfully, I found a suitable job before I reached the deadline for having to expand my job search and look for everything and anything.0 -
Now you have to apply for work and you can not pretend you have been looking. You do not need any qualifications for shop work.I used to do this when I was signing on, to prove that I had been looking, but there just wasn't anything out there that I was qualified to do. Thankfully, I found a suitable job before I reached the deadline for having to expand my job search and look for everything and anything.0 -
No I was on the booklet but they have change it to a single sheet. there was a day were there were no vacancies for the job types in my agreement, and monster only list jobs that are unsuitable for me for my sector and the hours I can work so I have time to drop of/pick up my son from nursery when needed that are holding me back.MissSarah1972 wrote: »You have signed a new job seekers agreement saying you are going to do 20 things a week to look for work?

So if you dont put down that you looked or put no vacancies you get refered to a decision maker. Better of lying, or apply for jobs that are not sutible..........oh wait I got screwed at for applying for a job that had "need M.O.T smart card" which I havent got.
I really need to find another way to collect these NI stamps, how do housewives looking after kids manage0 -
What about voluntry work ?
You tried looking on do it.org site ?
Yes you wont get paid for it but you would be doing something and surely it could fit around the nursery.0
