I need some advice,
A while ago I was told by an advisor to email my CV to them which I did, now a few days ago I was told to provide a copy of my CV. I have told the advisor that I had emailed my updated CV as requested and was told that its not in the envelope stapled to the sheet were you sign.
Is this a breech of the data protection act? surly if I emailed my CV it should be on their system and if its is not on the system why is it not, where is it and what has happened to it.

I would ask the person you emailed it to and find out where they put it?I need some advice,

Indeed, I would also email them.
As for the JC, they are part of the DWP who have for at least 30 years been very good at loosing things. It's an oversized clerical organisation that still doesn't quite understand modern computers despite having them. That doesn't mean that they've been emailing your CV out, putting it on the back of toilet cubicle doors etc. It just means they've blundered, someone somewhere has either lost it down the toilet, liftshaft, the bottom of their in tray or they've just gone off sick for a few weeks and no-one has dealt with their work load.0 -

Just to clarify did the advisor confirm s/he was in receipt of your email with the electronic copy of your CV?
I would double check your sent items in your mailbox to check that it went to a valid SMTP before making any challenges wrt DPA.0 -
the advisor is a miserable jobs worth,
I did't get a failed delivery email and I did't get sanctioned so it must of got to it's destination.

being a jobs worth I guess. She refered me to a decision maker for writing no vacancy's a few times on my job search lolMissSarah1972 wrote: »Yes give them anything but why do they want one? What are the going to do with it? Apply for jobs without you knowing?
some are nice and give you a print out if you missed a vacancy0 -
Don't take it personally. In the JC some of them have been there since they left school due to the job security etc. They literally don't have any idea what its like out there and just think people are being difficult not finding a job.
What I'm really saying is they're to$$3rs
