I took it as nasty, and I'd probably have doubted my initial thoughts and concluded it was a joke until I read this post:

Now I'm just of the conclusion that she's just a thoroughly unpleasant individual and probably was having a pop.

But thats just my opinion and I've seen nothing to change that ;)

And you of course are being absolutely delightful.

Don't get me started on H&M - I love them but find them so annoying!

The product codes online are different to the codes on the labels in store. Why aren't they the same? E.g. I was going to H&M and my OH asked me to pick up a pair of jeans for him, showed me online so I knew what I was looking for. I looked at all mens' jeans instore and found four pairs that might be right, same shade, same cut, same price - different codes on the labels so definitely four different items. I got my phone out to check the site and the code. It was a different format to the codes on the labels so I asked staff who looked confused and said "ooh dunno". Same thing when I saw something I wanted online and couldn't find it instore, I asked a member of staff if they could see if they had it in stock, showed the item on the site and this time was told "oh we can't look things up with the website code, we need the store code". Why not have the codes the same in store and online to make things easier? I'm obviously not going to know the store code because the reason I'm asking them to see if they've got it in stock is that I can't find the damn thing in the first place!

Also why can you hardly ever find stuff from the site instore, and vice versa? I placed an online order with a free delivery code, half the stuff wasn't in stock so it got cancelled off my order rather than backordered, I rang up to complain and they said I'd have to reorder but couldn't reuse the free delivery code. Thought sod it, get it in store instead. Looked in three branches and couldn't find any of the things I'd ordered. Works the other way - I bought a t-shirt instore that came in 6 colours and really liked it, had another online code I wanted to take advantage of so thought I'd order a few different colours but they only sold 2 of the 6 colours online.

The product info online is pants too. I bought some great jeans and wanted to buy a couple more pairs before they stopped selling them as I hate jeans shopping and wanted to stock up! Went back instore and couldn't find any more so looked online and couldn't even tell if the jeans I was looking at were the same as mine. There were three pairs online that all looked nearly identical, same price, same description and same wash, so I ended up leaving it as I didn't know which ones were mine!
  • Not quite as ridicoulous as a jumper nolonger being the in thing in the space of a month!;)

I agree that would be ridiculous with adults as we tend to wear what we like whether it's in fashion or not but the OP said it for was for daughter and I know that what's "in" and cool for older children/teenagers can change very quickly!

The jumper was for my 15 year old, and I'm afraid it's the more fickle explanation that rings true - she has " gone off" the jumper now *sigh* (although she has a Saturday job, and saves up to by her own fripperies, including this one)

We will see what it is like when it finally arrives, she ordered a size 10-12, so she could wear it baggy, so it might fit me (not baggy).

Thanks for taking the time to read my rant - it's good to get things off your chest sometimes :)

Have you looked at the Homeware stuff because some of that's quite nice and you might be able to put your voucher to use.

If you order now you might just get it in time for Christmas if you're lucky.:p

    Christmas 2013 , maybe ! :rotfl:
