Ebay initiation DDs when not Authorised

Hi. First post but been a reader of the site for a few years now and thought it time I register and give my opinion etc.
I was using ebay to get rid of clutter for sometime and thought it would be handy to set up a direct debit. Upon receiving my details ebay set up the direct debit and everyone was happy.
I then changed banks however and cancelled the direct debit through the account I was rarely going to be using and didn't give ebay the new details for my new account. Ebay however took it upon themselves to re-instate the direct debit, twice, on the old account. I subsequently recieved bank charges which I paid. Not much time contacting ebay to ask for a refund, I just recieved an email back bodyswerving the questions I asked. Ebay added £10 worth of charges for returned direct debits onto my balance which I refuse to pay, I sent them several emails, which they again body swerved they have subsequently sent my account to IQOR DCA who are asking for £85 instead of the initial £65 owed to ebay, £10 of which is for direct debit issues.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue before? Have any experience if disputing with ebay, and can anyone recommend a strategy on how to proceed? I know i owe £55. But i am not paying on principle of them setting up new direct debits without my authorisation until they scrap the £10 fee.

So these are selling fees?0 -
Consists of seller fee, listing fee etc. all of which I am prepared to pay. But not before the money associated with unauthorised direct debits is removed from the balance.0

Well why didnt you pay them when you were invoiced?
You get the option to pay by Paypal when you are invoiced0 -
eBay will take fees from last known source unless they are paid before due.
Cancelling the DD with your bank doesn't mean it was cancelled with eBay, so eBay have tried to take the fees, the bank have acted properly on your instructions and refused.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The issue isn't me paying them. The issue is the direct debit being set up. The fact I was late paying them is irrelevent. If you aren't going to post something pertinent to the query why post anything at all?0

At least we are now getting somewhere. But if a Direct debit is cancelled I was under the impression it would have to be a completely new direct debit mandate set up from ebay to the bank, therefore if this is the case then I am perplexed as to how they can legally set up another direct debit without my authorisation.0

No one has se up another DD though. You said the bank did not pay the DD?
eBay would not have been informed that you cancelled the DD, that is between you and your bank. So eBay tried to take the money and the bank refused it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You weren't late, you didn't pay them at all
You have a returned DD fee because nothing was paid.
So this all came about, because you didn't bother paying the fee's or setting up a payment method0 -
Do you not listen or read comments properly, Custardy? Normally users on here come across as approachable and understanding.
You appear to be the opposite. Furthermore, the direct debit was taken prior to the due date of fees anyway having just checked the dates in question.
Therefore your point is null and void. Please don't waste my time by commenting again, I await a response from someone with a decent level of comprehension of the issue described.0 -
