Sorry if this is a little off topic, but posting helps me stay on track, and I'm nowhere near interesting (or brave) enough to start my own diary.
This week's unnecessary spend challenge started today - am celebrating a NSD :T Did a CBS but made the fiver entrance fee back, so not going to count it.
The budget for this week is £25 food, £25 petrol, £25 works night outs x 2 (won't be drinking so don't need lots of moolah), £10 mobile phone top up, £10 unnecessary spends = TOTAL = £95
One day down with nada spent, 6 to go...
Have a good week all x*** PROPHECY_GRRL****** DEBT FREE AS OF 17/10/11 - I DID IT!!! ***0 -

The way I work my grocery budget is everything comes out of it :rotfl: Seriously I don't have a seperate clothes budget for any of us (I will be sorting that out) so any clothes re kids comes out of shopping budget but anything over £20 I try and add out of my money. Wine (every now and then), crisps (big bag lasts approx 2wks) , cakes (although I HM now) and treats come out of it as well. My clothes come out of my money, DH clothes grocery and his money.
There you go clear as mud :rotfl: I'm treating my £10 for things like mags, chocolate, ebay, craft bits, basically anything unnecessary
I do the same as you except that I generally buy my tobacco out of my money except DH has been smoking it again so it's come out of the shopping budget.
I call mine a shopping budget rather than groceries because otherwise too much money gets spent elsewhere!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Well this week my £10.20 is carrying over to next week for my haircut. After this I will just leave the money in my purse. Strangely enough the more money I have in my purse the less inclined I am to be parted from it!
I have to stick under £129 shopping this month but have lost the £50 gift card which is 1/2 of this money. I can't do it on £79 can I? Hmm, maybe a mega challenge about to start!
Drew out my money today before I went to bed this morning.
Had a hard night, barking mad patients etc, mate got a smack in the face and lady tried to bite me but bit herself instead.
Got up and did the ironing as DH took kids out for day to the museum. DS said "They had mummies there but they weren't real, they don't walk around!"

Well, big shopping day today. And.... inside budget, woooh! I did buy some tops for my trip, but the money for that came out of my piggybank so all is well
Bit annoyed about other stuff tho. I picked up my post today and I got a narky letter from a creditor saying I hadn't made last months payment and was in arrears. I have paid, I know I have! I've def got the proof lying around somewhere. I'm sure it's just that they did something stupid their end cos I rang up to increase my payments last week so they probably reset my payment date or something. Idiots. Just a crappy reminder of when I really wasn't paying:mad:
Oh, and I'm just going to buy some underwear for my trip now too, also out of my holiday piggybank thoDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls
