This is pretty much the approach we are using on our allotment at the mo. Some parts of the plot have very little bindweed, however the part where the previous plot holder had let the strawberries run wild is absolutley full. We know we won't get all of it out this way but we've got rid of masses, any left overs will be weeded as it comes through.0 -
is that the stuff that kinda looks like beensprouts? (the root that is) aka twitch,
if so the only way i have found to dispose of it is to dig it by hand and pile it up and burn the sods when it has dried out a bit.
back breaking work but its gotta be done.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
Carefully remove as much as possible then use of a systemic herbicide such as Glyphosate will the best option here - try to encourage the Bindweed to grow up canes/pea sticks for easier application. Remember to crush plant to improve uptake of herbicide. This is likely to be an ongoing problem as much will be invading from outside your own garden!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0
