Another option is if your have anyone in your family who is on benefits that would qualify them for the PDSA, get them to take the cat to the PDSA as their own cat. But PROMISE, PROMISE, PROMISE that your daughter then donates them £150 per month for 5 months. (if done through gift aid via her husband the PDSA will then gain an extra £30 on each donation.)
If anybody thinks this suggestion is immoral, I'm thinking firstly of the cat, and also making sure that the PDSA does not financially lose out.
I think people in work and not on benefit can often be struggling financially more than some on benefits who seem to play the system and drive around in posher cars than I could ever have afforded.DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0 -

This is soooooo true ...... I know someone who lives up the road & hasn't worked a single day in the 8+ years I've known her - yet she manages to run a car, have a holiday abroad every year (errrr, what's one of those!) and has had 4 crowns done & not paid a single penny towards them in the last year.
Many of us working really struggle to get ends to meet and often live on what is classed the poverty line .... yet we get absolutely no help at all because we work.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

As far as I can tell it's more about whether you are child free or have children as to how generous benefits are, not whether you work or not. There is research suggesting single people are more likely to below the poverty line/ in fuel poverty than ever before, whereas families and pensioners are far less likely to be.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Thank you all again. She has contacted Celia Hammond and they can operate at half the cost of her local vet, and she can pay in easy instalments so it is all arranged.0
