Vodafone PAYG trap

Hi

Both my son and I got new Vodafone PAYG sims as there were connection issues with other providers.

We both bought an initial £10 top up and wanted the £10 Freedom pack.

However, when you make the first payment, it goes onto a normal Simply plan and you cannot then convert this to a Freedom Freebeez pack even if you register on their site and try and buy a pack with the credit you have put on.

My son only got a few calls for his £10 but I rang their help line having put £10 credit on and explained the situation. The operator apologised and immediately converted my £10 Simply credit to a Freedom pack even though I had used 25p calling them. This apparently happens a lot.

So if you are buying an initial £10 credit on a new PAYG Vodafone sim, get help converting this to a Freedom pack to get the minutes, text and data package for 30 days!

What happens when head office dont work in partnership and listen to feedback from their own third party sub contractors.

Then again Orange head office dont listen to their own DIRECT executive office.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

You have to opt in to the Freebee package before adding the credit, all this information on the Vodafone Freebee information from the website. It will not cost you anything to call to opt in.

You have now got your Freebee which Customer Services have been able to add.

One correction: The option I took involved paying a 25p flat rate call from a land line, leaving my balance at £9.75...but the assistant still converted to the £10 Freebee!
