Visitor space always occupied by the same car

Hi everyone!

I live in a small block of flats (14) and we each have an allocated parking space.

We don't have a car so rent ours out. My qualm is with a car which constantly seems to be parked in a visitor space. There are four visitor spaces but two have little bollards in for bin collection access.
everyday?! Seems unfair on those of us with two cars who have to rent another space from someone without a car.

Any ideas? :p

Yeah sorry for some reason it deleted part of my text!

That was supposed to say: those residents who have two cars not us.

I have a friend in the building who has had to do so.

Simple thing is look at parking arrangements before you move there.
Or park the second car somewhere else.
I guess your house documents might say under what conditions the visitor spaces may be used?

Yes they are as said, we each have one space.

There's no where else to park and no thy don't, just says outside that you have o say which flat ou are visiting.

So somebody is doing what you think other people with 2 cars want to do which is to use a visitor's slot for the 2nd car?

so where are your "visitors" meant to park?

does this car def. belong to a resident?

i would put a polite note on car saying your occasional visitors require somewhere to park and as they are residents could they not rent a space from someone?

Check the planning permission. Some have conditions stating what parking needs to be provided and that this needs to remain as parking. Blocking it permanently for bin access may be a breach of these conditions.

Contact the freeholder / management company and ask them to enforce the parking regs.

Be aware though that when you come to sell you will need to declare any disputes (and that will include this issue).
