Same song, different words.

Several times each day, almost every day, I am forced to follow TalkTalk's "Assist & Go"'s recommended procedure to get connected.

I did NOT sign up for this inconvenience. Furthermore at the end of this frustrating procedure, connection isn't always successful and I am left with no alternative but to repeat the routine untill I am on line.

Once connection has been made, I am presented with a request to actually AWARD TT with up to five stars for their help. At first I would give them three stars, then I dropped to one, but now I'm thinking "sod it", award them for what ?, if they gave me the connection I've paid them for, they wouldn't need the stars.

I now ask myself, should I remain calm and spend the rest of my contract time repeating this labourious task daily, or not.

I am aware it is possible to be released from a contract and a fee has to be paid. Does anyone know what this fee is ?, is it an easy access withdrawl?, given that it isn't just BB but the phone and rental as well, has this been done to deter transfer away?.

I'm aware that were this electricity for instance, the new supplier would deal with the takeover. Would it be too much to expect this to be as simple?.

Whilst I welcome as much information as possible regarding leaving TT, I think on this occassion it might be more fruitfull if we could perhaps refrain from slagging them off, lord knows a number of people have cause, but if we can somehow produce a constructive thread on my proposed exit, then maybe others might just benefit. I sincerely hope no-one minds me setting/ suggesting the tone for this post.

Why not try using a router and leave it connected 24/7 assuming that you are using a poxy USB modem? Much easier and less hassle!
