I just saw the new blue bar before you login:

Registering is totally free and enables you to post messages (it's necessary to stop spammer and offensive posters).

Couldn't it be read as meaning you're only allowed to report spammers and offensive posts if you register

I read it as 'registering allows us to ban you if you spam or offend, but we wouldn't be able to if we didn't have your details'... maybe that's because I've spent too much time on other forums that are plagued with these problems though lol

Out of interest, can you report offensive posts without being registered?

but when I quick scanned it the first time I saw it, I read it as meaning

Out of interest, can you report offensive posts without being registered?
