Cheap Bikes for him & her

As the summer fast approaches(hopefully). I was looking for a couple of bikes for myself and my wife. After a lot of shopping around and plenty of advice from other friends with bikes, I found this website that does a great offer on brand new cycles that are discounted when bought in a pair. The beauty of this site is you can buy two of the same bike ie two mens or two ladies. Obviously i bought one of each and it only cost me £99(and these arent the cheapest). The reason this site can do these discounts is because it collects the bikes returned to catalogues(ordered by customers but could not be paid for) and passes on the discounts to us. There is also other offers in conjuction with these bikes ie locks, helmets and bike lights which up the price a little but still they are well discounted. Well worth a look if you are looking for a bike this summer and also have a look at the beat the thief offer they have very good option to insurance. I hope this post helps someone out and i would love to hear your feed back. I will keep an eye out for other bargains.

Excelent value, just what i'm looking for.In reply to the question to Durham Girl.........I am in no way connected or reieve any commision from any sales on this site ( I wish i did) but this is just a good site i found from long searching. I just thought it was worth posting.0

Apologies IF I am wrong, but you must be able to see why that connection would be made. You are a newbie and you first post is advertising a site that you 'found'. Most people don't tend to go into as much detail as you did, you seem to know much more about the site then a normal consumer would.
Again, sorry if i am jumping to conclusions:j30/7/10:j

Excelent value, just what i'm looking for.No probs Durham, I have been a user of this site for two years. This is my first time posting. Thanks for the comment on the detail of the post, i have always fancied myself as an amateur journalist. but my spelling is appalling.

Funny I saw full page advert for this company in News of World magazine today, and was interested in the buy one get on free offer. Our kids aged 6 & 8 are really getting into their bikes and husband and I had considered get our own. Should be a laugh if nothing else.0

i'd do a good search of the web about bikes from there before purchasing. I've read in the past some stories about the quality of these bikes.

plus many others - just my opinion based on what i've read.

We've bought bikes from them with no problems. Not super quality by any means but ok if you're not serious cyclists.
It may be worth you doing a serch though, as a while ago (year or so I think) there was a couple of reports of credit card fraud/problems from this company, where I think the staff had retained CC details and used them....
I can't remember the details, but we had no problems and I haven't heard anything about them recently.

Excelent value, just what i'm looking for.I ordered two cheap bikes in January. They were out of stock so Sterling House sent me upgrades as a replacement at no extra charge.
We are not serious cyclists we just cycle for fun at weekends. They are ideal for what we need.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.
