They are still liable for losses incurred. They can't be made to pay for work that hasn't been carried out.

They are at the very least the proud owners of a bathroom suite (Except the company have said they will limit this to 20% of the cost).

They arent installing it, just supply and deliver.

Their contract with their supplier may mention the cancellation surcharge, but if mine doesnt with the bathroom co, surely they cant just pass it on?

You are right, they can't "just pass it on".

However, you are breaking the contract, so you must pay their costs.
They have told you that their costs amount to 20% of your order value.

If you want to dispute that amount, then of course you can do so.
