Tell him a courier is fine, but they must specify a 1 hour time slot, bring their own wrapping materials, and bring cash when they collect it.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Sorry, I didn't mean it too sound rude. However, the quality or honesty of a courier is not in doubt here- it is the paypal/ebay/UK law that is the issue.

The courier merely collects and it doesn't really matter to them who has arranged and paid for them. The seller though must be the one who holds all the cards for safety, they must have the contract to enable them to prove delivery and to have insurance to make a claim. A lot of the newer cheaper couriers have very little automatic insurance cover and it would not be in a buyers interest to pay a lot extra to get more insurance when ebay/paypal and UK law tell them they are entitled to a full refund if any damage or loss occurs at any point before it reaches them- or even on their doorstep.
