I've got a couple of things that are 'in transit' that are now sat under my bed. Got a few more things due to arrive on Friday and am stepping away from online shopping for the next couple of weeks...or at least until my credit card statement is sent out.

Heads up to anyone that bought the sony surround system - there is a spiderman bluray set available on a redemption offer, it isn't well publicised but is here

Shockingly my Yodel delivery has yet to turn up. This'll be fun - I can tell.

But I did receive an unexpected parcel that I had to rearrange delivery from Saturday for. I thought it was a cheque I was expecting but it turned out to be a parcel that Amazon swear blind is yet to dispatch. I just don't understand their strange customs.
  • Jamie's here :j

Left on the front door stop by Yodel. Shocking!

  • Turns out my poor Jamie was hidden underneath my green wheely bin out the front. The packaging was sodden - since of course, here in the South West its been raining almost non-stop for days (duh). But Jamie seems to be none the worse for being sat on all day by a rubbish bin. :)

My buggy bag turned up at work today (Royal Mail tracked, no prob at all). My other 3 Yodel deliveries (Wow toys, Hunter wellies, Pure radio) have all been returned to the service depot after 3 days of being in and out of a delivery van. Really not happy with Yodel. So will have to get online with amazon in the morning, like earthlysparky I'm better at managing a decent conversation online rather than ranting down the phone :D

Yodel claim to have tried to deliver yesterday. Curiously at the same time another parcel actually arrived. I'm sure it's just a big misunderstanding why I didn't see or hear Yodel from my office. Which overlooks and is about ten feet away from my front door. Yodel surely wouldn't lie! Ha! God help the delivery driver today - he's in for some awkward questions. That's if he turns up at all. I might just shout into the wind if he doesn't.
  • Ok, have just spoken to Amazon live chat and now I'm REALLY not impressed with Yodel. Apparently my parcels have been returned to the service depot for having an 'inadequate address'. I'd put the address as my work one, I work for a large university which is one of the biggest employers in the town so it's not exactly difficult to find! And if other carriers (Royal Mail, Parcelforce, City Link have all delivered for me here) can manage it easily, why can't Yodel?

Oh of course, I forgot, it's because Yodel are rubbish.:mad::mad:

Remind me not to bother with Black Friday next year if actually getting orders is this difficult and time-consuming.

  • Not Amazon's fault but Sod's Law is messing with me again. Why is it, if my neighbours are out and a parcel arrives for them, I'm ALWAYS in to accept it for them, but when I'm out and a parcel arrives for me there's no-one else in the bloomin' street to take it in?:mad::mad:

If only they could have shipped a day later and arrived today, all would be fine. As it is, I have 4 parcels at the sorting office and can't go to collect as I'm waiting in for the cooker repair man. Hubby will collect but it means I won't get my parcels til he gets home about 8pm tonight  and then I can't open them until I'm on my own tomorrow (xmas pressies).

I am so done with dealing with Yodel. I got up this morning to put the bins at the kerbside so the bin men won't have an excuse to ignore them.

The bins are kept in the back garden, down a long drive way and behind the garage. Every Wednesday night we put them out - last night, they went out at 9pm on the dot with yesterday's rubbish. This morning when I move them to the kerb, one of the lids is suspiciously high so I look in and there's my parcel. Left out in the freezing cold all night.

So they've come after 9pm and instead of knocking on the door, they've just shoved the parcel (the one they 'attempted to deliver' at 11am yesterday) in a full bin. So off I go to type a new complaint to Amazon, only to find that the tracking details have been completely changed so there's now no mention of the attempted delivery just that it was out for delivery - from a completely different depot than it was at!

    They are completely outrageous.
