Hi
Only me again wanting to pick the brains of all you lovely people out there
Can anyone tell me how to link formulas in two separate worksheets please and do those sheets have to be in the same workbook (file) or will it work with separate ones?
I know there's a way of doing it but it's a long time since I learned Excel properly and the ole grey matter doesn't retain info quite as well as it used to these days
Just to clarify what I'm trying to do ...
I have one workbook in which I record all my grocery (and related) expenditure, as per the Grocery Challenge on the Old Stylers boards, with a month to each page. I also have a separate budget workbook to monitor all monthly income/expenditure, but rather than have to enter the grocery expenses again manually, I'd like to link from the totals in the grocery workbook so it updates automatically, if that makes sense
Cheers

In Excel 2000 but it should work in the rest of them - select the cell and copy it. Move to the worksheet you wish to copy it to. File, Edit, Paste Special. Select Paste Link. This should mean that the cell should automatically update when the original is updated.0
