A bit of advice re new router

Daughter signed up with PrimusSaver last month. After sending a router that didn't work at all, they've sent a new one. It connected up OK, but when I open Safari on the Ipad the following message is displayed :- "your broadband router is being configured. Please be patient while the process completes, approx 5 mins"
However, nothing happens after 5 mins. In fact, nothing happens at all. I've turned the router off and back on, all I've done is lost the connection altogether. Is there anything I can do before I resort to phoning the helpline which I know will try my patience. Its a ZyXel AMG1202 wireless.

Yes, I first set it up using PC and ethernet. Do I have to do anything else with the PC?:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

I would not have thought so, assuming you can visit websites on the PC.
Have you tried using WPS?That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

...not a techie but my recollection of setting up iPad was: choose the <Settings> button.
Next screen has WiFi setting, touch this, WiFi networks screen appears, click WiFi <ON>... Available networks appear ( neighbours' routers, wifi hotspots etc - hopefully your ZyXel router...)
Check router instructions to find out which buttons to press to put router in <Pairing Mode> . When in Pairing mode, select your router from the available networks on ipad screen, enter your router's security password when / if asked...job done.
This worked for me and Orange LiveBox, I assume accessing other wireless routers would be done in similar fashion?0 -
If it's working fine on the PC then it's not a router or line/connection issue.
The wireless connection between router and your devices is not a Primus responsibility (not that they' d be much help even if it was).No free lunch, and no free laptop

WPS Wifi Protected Setup. Having had an idle google I suspect Ipads may not support wps. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
