Cashback or/and Rewards?
Today I've applied for an Amex but I'm sure it won't be accepted everywhere.
Thank you,
Simo

Depends how much you spend, where you spend it and what sort of rewards you like.0

If your mainly going to be in the UK. Your Amex will be fine on its own and on the odd occasion in the few places its not accepted, just use your debit card.0

There are loads of MasterCards that offer rewards and/or cashback. What might be great for one person might not be for another.
My long term goal is to acquire an Amazon card, as I would then use the vouchers you get for Christmas spending at the end of the year. But to someone who doesn't use Amazon it'd be useless.
There are loads, Santander 123, Tesco, Amazon etc. Hit some comparison websites.Oh, you wee bazza!0 -
You'll probably find that Amex is accepted in most big chains like supermarkets and petrol stations as well as department stores. It's generally only the smaller chains and independent shops that don't take it. Otherwise, as zx81 says it depends on what rewards you like - airmiles, Tesco/nectar points for example- or whether you would rather have cashback to spend where you like. (In practice cashback it generally paid as a credit to your card either monthly or annually.)0

DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS 123 CARD.
I have had one for 4 months and Santander have charged me interest even though I cleared my balance in full and on time.
Confusing YES. The interest was charged because the creditcard part was taking money from my Santander account 1 week late0 -

Thanks for this!
I've already applied for one. What should I do now? I just call them and say I don't want it anymore?0
