Hi there I'm new to this forum but was wondering if you could offer me advice.
I had parked at my local gym (have been doing for some time) and came out to see that I had a parking notice stuck to my windscreen.
Turns out you can't park there without a permit which I hadn't noticed in the past. I have loaded an image of the notice and was wondering whether I should ignore it following advice on this forum and other subsequent forums.
Thanks for looking and appreciate your responses.

Ignore them but get a permit for later. You will get a load of garbage from them but its not likely anything will follow.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Thanks for your quick response, I shall do that I am not having companies make money off me due to my innocence. £50 is extreme in my opinion.0

Which private parking company is it please? Here's your image but I can't see much:

Any chance, please, of a close up of the front and back (just cover your car details and the date/ref/PCN number). It would be useful if closer, readable pics could be sent to Crabman who updates this thread (below) and liaises with pepipoo forums over the preview pics naming and shaming the new versions of the fake PCNs and threatogram letters used as part of this scam:

Just wondering if they are actually BPA AOS members (if they are it's still not to be paid!).
I see that they have called it a 'Parking Enforcement Notice' which I think counts as a breach of the BPA Code of Practice if they are members. As per this pepipoo thread about Civil Enforcement where the minutes of a BPA meeting are quoted which says their members should NOT call their fake tickets 'Enforcement Notices':
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=73843&st=20&start=20
Any other breaches on that fake PCN similar to page one of that thread? Any misleading stuff about who is liable? Anything misleading on the signs? This could be another one to report to the DVLA and if there are breaches you may have grounds to tell the DVLA NOT to pass on your data to this firm.
They will be trying to get your address from the DVLA after about 28 days if they are BPA AOS members but if we can spot some breaches you maybe could prevent that and get the firm into hot water. Between us and pepipoo forums we have recently got half a dozen AOS members suspended by the DVLA from getting any data at all.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Company is clearly at the top of the scam ticket
PCN (NW) Ltd , they are AOS.
Coupon are you sure "Parking Enforcement Notice" is a breach of BPA AOS code ?
If so it shows how seriously it is taken right here by a MAJOR BPA player !!!

Yes, it's in that pepipoo link I gave to a Civil Enforcment thread - at least it goes against the instructions from the BPA. And in the Code the AOS members are not allowed to claim an authority they do not have.
So that's 3 BPA AOS members using 'Enforcement Notice' terminology for their fake PCNs that the BPA has specifically said they 'should not'. I suspect that a complaint to the DVLA would just get the response that 'ther companies have told us they are using up old stationery...' like Newlyn were...PRIVATE 'PCN'? Many thanks for your responses people, above are links with more detailed images as requested. I mean as a 19 year old student the last thing I want is to be paying stupid unnecessary money.
Once again thanks :T

the last link still has a ref on so please remove the link and re-post when covered.
My 18 year old niece is also from your area but is at another Uni and she has ignored six fake PCNs so far, since she learned to drive.
Please spread the word among other new drivers that you should only ever take seriously a real 'penalty' parking ticket from the Police, Transport for London, a Train Operator or a Council.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Many thanks for your responses and dealing with my links. Typical companies trying to make money. I Google mapped the Blackpool address at the top of the ticket and it wasn't even a PCN company. typical.0
