Boyfriend ... Depression... advice needed

I also have had episodes of severe depression.......couldn't make ANY decisions during those times and noise was physically painful. Even the simplest interaction with another person felt like an impossible stress. So a newish relationship and 3 children would have been totally overwhelming to me and if he has a similar way of experiencing depression it may be that only being with you guys at weekends is what he needs. HOWEVER your priority has to be what YOU and your children need. Maybe you and the children need to sit down and talk openly about what they feel and want? Even the youngest might be able to say something that helps you see the world from her point of view. Then you can start working on something that works for all of you.
