TV for gaming

Hi I am looking to upgrade my current Samsung LE26R88BD to a new tv that will let me play games in 3D but also allow me to watch RTE through Saorview. I have looked at various samsung's such as ES8000,ES6800,ES6300 and have noticed various motion rates so have been worried about input lag. I would like to get a 32" if its good enough and want to ensure that there will be no problems as my current Samsung gives me no problems. What TV's would you recommend me to have a look at?

You've got a healthy budget, that's good to see. Recording from an external hard drive is doable from most with a USB port, but you can only record what you are watching (no watching another thing whilst you are recording).
You can probably get a good tv and a good prv with that budget.

Also are you gaming with the PS3, Xbox 360 or PC?
  • i usually play with my xbox but have a ps3 too, when i was reading up about tvs i couldn't find much about input lag and thats something that i wouldn't want to happen. Is there any tvs out there that will let me connect my iphone and macbook to using the tv?
  • well what should i get then?

Anything with Freeview HD will do it connected to the right aerial pointing the right way. For iPhone or iPad on a TV, I don't know of anything built in, but an appleTV will do this job very well (Airplay) if you've got a good WiFi signal. That takes £100 off your budget.
    How's this then:
