try the Yorkshire watersways musuem in Goole. its free and if you go in the summer and there is enough people you may get a boat ride around the docks. God i must be mad advertising Goole as a holiday destination !"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

Armley Mills, I think thats the place that enthralled me giving a history of the cotton trade during the Industrial revolution. Well worth a visit seeing that the wealth of West Yorkshire was built on this business.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, I think we will try the Forbidden Corner first.
The armley mill visit sounds interesting, I have been to both the coal mining museum and eden camp when I was a kid. But eden camp may be worth a visit now I am older.0 -
English geography isn't my strong point but I was told last night of Zombie activity days near Birmingham, not sure how far that is from you.
Sounds fantastic and can't wait for my son to be old enough so we can both go!0
