I dont know why they dont make curtains that just go down to say the skirting board. They make them windowsill height, half way down the wall under the window or ones that trail 10 inches onto the floor.

Simplest solution is to raise or lower your ceilings and floors.

(Last set of curtains I bought just drape perfectly to the floor, I dread washing them for fear of shrinkage)

Oops, no, I mean CM, duh, silly me. Mind you, the curtains would be dead cheap if I did have one!

I was measuring a calculator roll this morning, so I'm fixed in mm mode.

I thought as much :) but I enjoyed the image of a pair of curtains on a 30cm window:rotfl:

the mind boggles as to how much 1o inches of concrete poured onto me floor or lowering every ceiling in the house would be.

    I
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Personally I would just use the one set, width and a half is fine by me, I don't like them too bulky when they are pulled into the tie backs. I would only go for double wide if I was looking to keep heat in. My radiators are under my windows. I am always putting the bottom of the curtain on top of the radiator cover to let the heat out, but perversely I do like my curtains going to the floor. It's really down to personal taste!
