I have come to the end of my contract with T-mobile, the retention offers have been poor so im looking at a new contract,
If I move to Orange will there be a big difference now they are part of the same company ? I have great signal everywhere i need to be with T-mobile I presume it will be the same with Orange?
Any reason I shouldnt swap ?
Thanks !

If you can find a better contract with Orange - there is absolutely no reason why you can't/shouldn't switch.
The signal is exactly the same - so if it works for you now - it will work for you going forward.0 -
Does this work properly now? My house gets a very low T-Mobile signal and last time I checked (admittedly, months ago), a T-Mobile sim would hang on to the T-Mobile signal for dear life and seemed very reluctant to switch to Orange. When it did switch to Orange I got a great signal. If it is working properly that opens my options upThe signal is exactly the same - so if it works for you now - it will work for you going forward.

You shouldn't be seeing TMobile or Orange on your phone at all now.
We've got 4 Orange contracts in the house, and they all only ever display EE now.
I know the issue that you're talking about though - but I was under the impression that this was now sorted.0 -
mine still says t-mobile/orange,Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais

Do you use an older handset by any chance? I understand that Orange and TMobile sent an OTA sim update, so that the new EE carrier logo was displayed. Maybe your phone isn't capable of displaying this - or possibly you have an older sim?
It's essentially the same signal anyway ie I'm sure that the Orange/TMobile signals still exist seperately - but for a majority of users, they're no longer distinguishable.0 -
I have a HTC desire HD, my Dad has a Galaxy ace and his has changed (we live near each other)
Anyway I jumped and just ordered myself a Galaxy note 2 with orange

Nice one
I looked at the Note - but it was too big for me. I opted for the SGS3. Ok - not much smaller....but just a personal preference.
I'm sure you'll love the Note 2 - it looks cool. I wouldn't worry about the signal though - I'm sure you won't notice any different to what you have now.
Enjoy!0
