Hi Fairy
Lovely to "see" you again.
Things here are ticking along well. I have overspent this month due to getting far too involved in the festive spirit, but I've withdrawn money from my savings to cover the credit card bill and am tightening my belt big-style this month. I have to, as there is still no work on the horizon
I'm still pootling away on Swagbucks, and have enough to redeem a ££5 voucher this morning, so I will do that later on. I should make £25 again this month - every little helps and all that! I can stick a £5 voucher in with Mr Moo's Christmas stocking and that way he can buy books for his Kindle
I don't have a lot going on at the moment, hence the lack of posts0 -
Honestly, can't face the dole office. I've been there numerous times with Mr Moo when he's been on Jobseekers and they're *insert swearwords*
All things being equal I should be working in the next couple of weeks, so for the avoidance of hassle and the cleanliness of my soul I'd rather avoid.
Oh, and hi
I get where you are coming from, so often I had to refrain from asking people in the queue " do you come here often?"
There is one thing though, if you aren't signing on there will be a gap in your NI contributions which will affect any State pension in the future...
Hope the job hunt throws something perfect in your lap soonI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
I agree, go and claim it with the mindset that it's to keep your NI contributions up to date. If you don't "need" the money, put it into your car/cat fund x
Good luck with the job huntingEmergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0 -

Time to get a handle on the pennies:
Current credit card balance: £402.23 (!!)
Minus Kindle cost (Buying for Papa Moo, paid for by Mama Moo): -£115.97
Actual balance: £286.26 (Bad, but better)
Money sitting to pay credit card bill: £622.89 so plenty in credit. This will cover incidental spends as well such as presents for people I've forgotten about (three according to my list!) and clothes in the sales post-Christmas.
I do also have a jacket to return which will take the balance down by £55. I panic-bought it for an agency interview, got it home and realised that it had scary puffy shoulders Dallas-style and shouldn't be allowed to see the light of day again. :rotfl:
I redeemed another £5 Amazon voucher today, so hopefully I can get another £10 in the next week or so. I have some Tesco vouchers to double up as well.
