Yesterday while not doing what I was meant to be doing I found some hints and tips about avoiding procrastination, which is something I struggle with. One of the tips was to write a to do list and tick things off as you do them, but also to write down other things you achieve throughout the day to increase your sense of accomplishment. I liked this idea, so here is how today went for me.
To Do:- [STRIKE]Put petrol in the car[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Make dinner[/STRIKE] I ♥ my slow cooker
- [STRIKE]Collect parcels from the Post Office[/STRIKE]
- Update CV using online tool (provided by old job when they made me redundant)
- [STRIKE]Apply for one job[/STRIKE] Applied for six
- Wrap Christmas presents for Mr Moo to take north
- Washed dishes
- Emptied bins/cat litter
- Cut & froze leftover vegetables for future use
- Put completed cards I've made in bags to keep them clean and organised them
- Counted the number of Christmas cards I've already made (only eight, many more to do...)
- Cleared my desk in the craftroom, just the rest of the room to go!

Ohhhh I totally get this!
I've been doing the "what small DFW things" thread while I've been off work (unfortunately just don't have time when I am at work) and it's making a huge difference
- I don't think I ever get through everything but do the vast majority (which I wouldn't if it wasn't written down on a list) and it does make you feel like you've achieved something!:)
I love lists- must think about how I can keep it up when I go back to work .... wonder if there's some sort of App I could use?
Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Looks good! I'm another one for loving lists, I love being able to tick stuff off!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Staples have one that is similar by the looks of things. The one I have has a box beside each item for ticking things off (very satisfying) and a box for "priority" so you can highlight urgent things.
That reminds me, off to write today's' list0 -

Today's lists:
To do:
- Finish CV profile
- [STRIKE]Wrap Christmas presents[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Go to the gym[/STRIKE] 20 minutes on the cross trainer and 10 on the bike (4km) Feeling the burn
- [STRIKE]Sort out friend's birthday present and wrap it[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Dishes[/STRIKE]
Also achieved- Took bin out before binmen came (essential now we have fortnightly collections!)
- Hit daily SB target
- Completed survey for £1 on Valued Opinions
- Put away clean washing
- Did another load of washing and hung it up
- Bought Christmas present for Mr Moo in the Amazon Black Friday sale
It didn't feel like I'd done much today until I wrote it all down! I don't have many things left to buy now although a main present for Mr Moo still eludes me. It's his sister's birthday this week too and he's given me no clue as to what to buy her. Sod all at the rate I'm going
Tomorrow I'm going to head in to town to get some final bits and pieces for Christmas and hopefully find present inspiration while I'm there. What do you get the snooty bint who has everything?
