'Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.
The reason the challenge is up to Friday is that I like to give myself a day off the counting and let my hair down a bit'
Today I'm going into town to spend my money from my aunt, got sidetracked yesterday, but there will probably be periferal spends too  so I'm going to budget £20 this week with £15 for food shopping.
Have a good week all and keep it low!

I'm in the green too - only spent around £11 this week. Next week's budget will be £20 again.

hi lynsayjane well done on controlling all of us for the week while moozie is taking it easy... i did it this week only just... £1.90 :rotfl: so i am green woohoo... this week coming i am on holiday and already today i have spent £48.50 on my driving test and later i will spend £5 on my sister to get my hair cut
... i wont class my driving test in my budget because i kinda allowed for it anyway as i saw it coming...
so this week (as i am on holiday) i have a budget of £120.00 - £5.00 for my hair cut means i have £115.00 for the week, i know i can do it but i wont be worried if i go over that ammount
but i am now debtfree :j :T :j :T :j so i am kinda celebrating :rotfl: all the payments have been sent off, i just have to wait for them to clearso happy happy day here
have a great week all, i will post all my spends (as i will still keep a spending diary) on friday nght
loooong pooost from me then :rotfl:
have a great week all and keep it low :T0 -
Hello everyone
I've spent £67.96 so have made my weekly target, can you put me down for £60 for next week please?
A huge congratulations to you pap, that's fab :T xx0 -
Well done PAP!!! Fab news!
Last week I failed - budget was £10 and spent £15:o . That's still tons less than normal though.
I have £12 in my purse and so will add an extra £10 to it as I am going to a funeral in South Wales at the end of the week and need a bit extra for that (excluding petrol).
Budget from Sunday - Friday evening - £22.0 -
yay well done PAP
thats great news!
I spent around £5 cant remember exactly its been a crap week so havent been writing down what i spent.
Next week i will budget £10. C x0 -
Very relieved that I only have to 'fess up to spending £12.25 - thought I'd spend considerably more having been away at Mum's for a couple of days! Back to school tomorrow - much easier to avoid temptation so I'll aim at £10 for this coming week. Good luck everyone!Resolution:

Hi LJ
I spent £11.10 against a budget of £15.00, so I'm quite pleased. :j :j
However, this week will be different, as I will probably have to buy lunches and evening meals (hopefully these will be claimable against expenses) and I'm running out of the cheap tobacco that I brought back from Italy.
So I'm going to set a budget of £50 (this could go back to my normal £20, once I clarify the expenses situation).
I am going to apologise in advance, if I don't post my spends during the week as I'm not sure if I will be able to go on-line (don't particularly want to take too many risks in first week of new job. ).
But I will keep a spending diary and post at end of week.
