Phew finally sat down..... and breathe!
Well Argos manager couldn't have grovelled more, he was very pleasant and absolutely refreshing to speak to someone so helpful. Immediate refund, staff going to get their !!!'s severely kicked and another gift card for £10 as "compensation" I'm sure I could have wangled more from him but main thing is I wanted the staff retrained and apology. And £40 in total I can live with!
Now to catch up with the apprentice.
Just done a quick T's shop on the way home. Braved 4 GTA. Young SA let a few 4p school items through as welland got loads of milk for 5p each! Unfortunately he wouldn't take more than 2 conditional spends and I miscounted my Kleenex coupons thought I only had 2 Andrex but had 4 grrrr!!!!
Only just catching up well done Celebrate so glad that you stuck to your guns here and its paid off. :T:T:T:TIf it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:0 -

No moc's sadly, but walk around in circles round the Yakult stand
:D:D;) Plenty of vino, sherry, vodka (the chocolate one is very nice) and whisky samples  that'll help you walk around in circles :rotfl:Tons of food samples, my fav was the chinese, you get a pot of rice and szechan chicken, 5 or so of those go down well very nicely.
4p ones i hope :rotfl::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
That could explain why i got some strange looks when i picked them up for ya :rotfl:
I'm coming with you lot next year!!!I didn't see any chinese free or lip balm.
I did get a trolley key ring from the recycled paints lady.

Less sucessful for apgs in my part of East Sussex. :(I have asked 3 times and been refused each time I have tried to spend an APG in T, and that was only for shops over 40.00. 5 off 40.00 worked fine. I can understand why, they say no to APG's, but suppose it depends totally on your SA./supervisor / shop.
Ok thanks for this - really helpful. I keep forgetting whose from where and knew I'd seen a few posts - but yes I think they were the NI contingent. I also remembered you posting. Many thanks - I am off out Monday next so may try then - see what happens.
Thanks to everyone for sharing as ever.

Nope - in a blue funk and stopped thinking logically after the telephone call and 'deactivate' message. Off to do that now before going to bed - what a brill suggestion, thank you.
Broadband provider Virgin media emails addresses are accessed in their new media centre which I can't access as it requires pin but doesn't recognise the one virgin media gave me. Told it will take a week maybe for them to sort she is getting engineers to fix! So temp gmail account it is in meantime!
Sorry didn't reply sooner had a night out tonight - niece came over to babysit (OH at work) and I went to Quiz night and pie and peas fundraiser for scouts and cubs etc. (so get to sit down, exercise the grey matter and chat to people - able to leave early if I needed). Had a couple glasses of wine too first in 7 months! .... And a first for our team - we won!:D Nice trophy til next year (oh and 6 bottles of wine between the team) - omg - pinch us were dreaming (we normally do ok and then bomb in last 2 rounds -especially sport). Yay a better end to the day than beginning! Roll on the weeken - hope its a good one everyone.0 -

Whatever happened to the "Wonder of a Woolies Christmas" . . .
C S N & Y - wow thats still one heck of a tune, a great live version on you tube - brings some sorta misty/leaky stuff to my eyes.

I'll light the fire
You place the flowers in the vase that you bought today.
Staring at the fire for hours and hours
While I listen to you play your love songs all night long for me,
Only for me.
Our house is a very very very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy, 'cause of you
I'll light the fire
While you place the flowers in the vase that you bought today.I'd like to teach the World to sing in perfect Harmony:j
