Yes I got 40.00 of Andrex in two shops ( and used my KC vouchers from last month:)) and got 4 petrol vouchers for toilet paper and another for spending 8.00 on dairy. Now just hoping that they still compare so I'll get 2 x pp vouchers for just under 10.00 too:D

  • Hi Fairclaire
Might be a bit late for your carbonara but
I fry up bacon or ham with lots of black pepper, when cooked, add double runny cream (elmlea is perfect ) and a good shake of parmesan. Bring up to slight bubble. Take off heat and add cooked pasta. Mix and add a couple of egg yokes. mix well. eggs cook just in heat of cream and pasta.
Amounts not set in stone but I would use pack of bacon, one carton of elmlea, parmesan to taste and 3 egg yokes plus pasta for 4 people. Also works well with chicken and mushroom (no parmesan).
Hope that helps. Most pets love the leftovers.

    Afternoon all
Completely lost my mojo after been reduced to tears in Argos of all places
Bought DS a watch/ stopwatch set for his bday, within a week the stopwatch has broken buttons are stuck completely frozen and paint has chipped off the watch which I wasn't that concerned about
    Decided to return
SA asks a manager they inspect the watch and say he has worn it out and too scratched to give a refund, they will exchange the stopwatch
Ask twice to spk with the manager, kept waiting half hour and he won't show. Ask politely 3rd time for him to give me the courtesy of showing his face
So he comes and says the same argument. Offer exchange of stopwatch ( which I don't want because it is do tacky it will be broken again in another week!) and refuse to take back the watch
I know t&cs say they have to offer to repair then replace then refund but by golly I have been stood at the tills when items have been refunded no questions asked without receipts !

Anyway had couple unopened items to return as well
Asked for watch back while I speak with HO
SA first interrogates me on why I want to refund unopened items, then spends 20minutes inspecting them ( fair enough but they were sealed) then gives me the 3rd degree on whether my Debit card is mine or not!!!! Put card in pin machine. Then she asks me to sign s receipt, then she tells met signature doesn't match the card so she can't give me a refund only a gift card!!!!!!
Never have I with chip and pin been asked for a signature for a comparison with my card. I really hadn't got the will to explain I have 2 signatures ( my short prescription signing one of long normal one, had I known she would be scrutinising my signature I would have not scribbled my fed up short one!)

Any advice before I ring HO appreciated
    Thanks
    And no laughing!!!!!

    this is awfull

you must ring head office and

explain it was your card and signiture and you culd see it clearly (even if you cant );)

then tell them that the manager wouldnt grace you with his time untill you requested for the third time and had to ask staff to tell him to be curtiouse ;)

tell them you expect a quick question about why your refunding (they like to know if things are faulty) but you dnt expect the third degree as you had recipt . also

express how rude they were and that they made you cry and embbaressed you in shop full of people and now you have a girft card you dnt want as you wont be shopping with argos any time soon;)(even if you do they wnt know)

so ask them to refund to your card and keep the gift card as good will guesture so you can think about shopping at argo again

then tell them a training course wuldnt go a miss on the staff and if you want to add insult to injury id say something like

when the manager came out he wasnt wat you expected scruffy and was eating /chewing gum smelling of smoke  and so unprofessional

i wuldnt let them get away with it at the end of the day you are a customer who was brininging a faulty product back and returning unsutable gifts that were in there 30day money back garentee??

keep us posted, and keep strong these trouts are nouthing but sad lounley people who will never get anywhere in life just bully shoppers
