she is a GP as is karlie88. they are not allowed to give out medical advice on here. some of us should show the respect a GP deserves.

    Hi curly
Good that you don't believe, one less for the free advice clinic ;)

    Thanks for replies
Just spoke to HO and trading standards

Confirms the absolute tripe they were coming out with was ... Well absolute tripe!!

With chip and pin NO signature is required, the signature is for till purposes only, I shouldn't have had to produce my driving licence to prove who I was
Secondly even when items are sold as a package you are entitle to return and reject the whole package if one item is faulty
Also Trading standards said if the paint had chipped off the watch within a week that would make the watch also unfit for purpose
Just waiting on phone call back!
GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!

Just posted it on Grabbit, excellent deal on the new Dolce Gusto Circolo coffee machine from Home & Cook with discount code making it £77.99 plus 6% Cashback from Quidco. Don't think I am allowed to post the code on here.
I have rather a lot of pods to use up from a distant Sada promotion;) if anyone remembers it, and my current machine has broken.
This one looks very posh, did like the old one, but took up too much room, this one is slimmer, electronic and, well - round.

I didn't find any on any stalls I looked at, only couple in the goody bag. :(
  • Celebrate, so sorry to hear you had such a bad time in Argos, they sound like an absolute nightmare, no wonder they are not doing so well at the moment if thats how they are treating customers. As Purdy said, have a look at the trading standards information before you ring HO. You are in the right, they have sold you a substandard product that is not fit for purpose. Ask them if they bought a watch would they expect it to be working a week later??? Dont let them get to you, I know you are not having a great week so are probably feeling a bit more vulnerable. Just remember you are a competent, capable lady who knows her rights and has the backing of the Elite:D. If that fails we will flashmob them :D:D:D

You didn't notice me yesterday then with my 4p handbag, £1 jumper and boots then, think my jeans were 4p ones but I bought them when they were a fiver. Oh and of course the Elite MSEers essential on a day out an Andrex on the go. :D

Even though I have got plenty of cheese I could not resist the Wykes farm selection with the slate for £10. Good date for xmas. Did you watch Gino at all?

I only watched a couple of minutes from over the balcony upstairs. I saw some lucky lady get a kiss from him. I was well jealous.
They did have some nice cheeses and of course alcohol, chutneys and flavoured oil. We went round the food parts a few times. ;)
