Hi Celebrate
What a horrible experience. I would be inclined to phone Trading Standards or do some online research before you contact Argos and drop in the "not fit for purpose" a couple of times so they know that you are aware of your consumer rights.
I would also explain you are a GP, a well repected member of the community and you were embarassed and humiliated in front of potential patients.
I'd demand a written apology and a full refund for the watch which you will return to them in an envelope provided by them.
Don't be fobbed off...stand your ground ....and demand an apology from the jumped up little Hitlers in store :mad:My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

Excellent advice Purdy .Never pay more than you have too0 -
My planed shop tesco v sains
i will buy
45 x just milk @ 94p each = 42.30
i will use 45 x 50p coupons = -22.50
price match sainsburys (3 for £2) = -10.00 (12.30 capped)
i will get a few other fillers = 7.70
use a £5 off wys £50 = -5.00
total to pay £12.50 + 5 x petrol coupons.
I can see but one potential flaw in your cunning plan.Hope is not a strategy.0 -
There were hardly any coupons at the ideal home show yesterday
Its the only reason I went x
