Returned a packet of shorts to sada today. Felt like a chump bought a pack of three shorts, one was missing. SA says didn't you count them so I had to say they weren't rolled up neatly when I bought them. Exchanged no problem but what did she think of me to ask that question:eek::eek:

Well it is as far as they are concerned.
Dont ever forget we are only there to feed and amuse them 24/7;)

yup - know that and do not mind a bit - they bring so much pleasure into our lives :)
  • Well Trish, its like this. When was the last time you were driving a bus and instead of sweaty change, a lady/or ladyboy came up to your kiosk thingy and handed you a large box of unopened, branded box of unopened chocolates?

Feel free to take your time to answer.

I used to give my morning bus driver Xmas chocs, he drove my bus to work every morning for 4 years and was absolutely fantastic. He knew everyone on our route and knew to wait a few moments on certain people incase they were running late because we all got the same bus and most were never late.

I know when I was a taxi driver it cheered up my day and others when I offered them a choc or two from the tub in my glovebox in the weeks before Xmas. It might have cost me £15-£20 for the tubs but it broke the ice with some people and made for a better journey for all of us, that plus any extra tips were greatly appreciated :D.
My best one being a customer who got taxis regularly and for Xmas week prepared envelopes with different amounts of cash inside between thick cardboard and told you to pick one but not open it until he'd been dropped off as he didn't want to know when the big one went. I got £30  and another driver that day got £25. This really made our day :T
One other customer use to provide us with a pack of buns or biscuits once a month because she was so pleased to find a firm who helped her as much as our drivers did.

Many people in these industries appreciate even the smallest gesture to show that they are appreciated.

Well I hate to break it to you 2 but you will have a huge gap in your life when you get to the end of it:rotfl:. OH and I watched it last year in one go, 2/3 episodes a night. The night after we watched the last one it was a bit strange watching normal telly:rotfl::rotfl:. So then we did lost, the sopranos, the wire and all the x files. Can't believe I missed all these when they were on telly......too busy with work and kids, I suppose
