My darling dh is having an ultrasound tomorrow. He has been in some pain for a few weeks now & lots of doctors visits. We think its Prostate but hoping for a better diagnosis. Putting a brave face on things trying to be optimistic as he has said he is really worried.

Good evening everybody. My name is Anon. I am a glitchaholic. It is one day (almost ..) since my last shop.... :T

I have been to a few As a few times over the past week or so in the full expectation that the glitch would stop so was pushing it while I could (having arriving at the previous glitches late and left kicking myself I wasn't going to miss out this time!) ... but it hasn't stopped and all my tin cupboards are full and I have an increasing stack of MT, Vinnie's and assorted items and am getting to the stage where, dare I say it, we may have enough(?!).

As a result, I decided to spend the evening in today rather than spend another few hours on tour round the local As and Ts - I did a few returns yesterday of my As failed shops and have my next APGs available but have used restraint.

I know, some people believe you should accept failed shops as a consequences of playing the glitch game, but I decided that as I did nothing wrong buying them, I had no issues returning them, particularly as I was stung when they changed the fingers and got the wrong Green & Blacks so ended up very out of pocket ... though returning may have put me on the radar :o. In each case the CS was very pleasant and refunded without issue .

Thank you for all the guidance and clarification on here - it is much appreciated.

Thanks for this. I'm now considering selling my house, donating the proceeds to the local church and becoming a bus driver. Who needs to go shopping for glitches, if i'm handed it on a plate by such kind people who do all the leg work for me? I LOVE this thread for all the good ideas I get.. I only hope I can give something back soon.

Stop posting rubbish that would be a start

    Hi all,

Just a little update from me

Haematologist yesterday explained CT scan showed that there is actually more than one mass which would once again tie in with a lymphoma, unfortunately affecting more than one lymph node :(

One of them is pressing against a blood vessel so as of tomorrow i'm starting on blood thinning injections and steroids to help and try and prevent a blood clot and reduce some of the swelling. At least it feels as if we are doing a little something to help whilst we wait for a proper diagnosis.

This morning I had the lung biopsy. It wasn't a pleasant experience but I couldn't fault my care and thankfully all went to plan and they managed to get some good samples for testing. I got home this afternoon after being observed for a while and now just feel a bit tired, battered and bruised. Will take 7-10 days for results as they have to send the samples off to a different hospital. We're hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

Our friends and family have rallied round and we are lucky to have lots of support and offers of practical help :) After a busy week I'm looking forward to a restful weekend spending time with the boys.

Thanks again for all of your support :A

Glad to hear from you Logie and sorry it's not with better news:(. Painful wait for your blood tests as well but you are right at least something is being done in the mean time. It's so good you've such great support from your family and friends.

Enjoy your quiet weekend with the family and take care of yourself:A
  • Thank you to everyone for the teamwork and effort working out the glitches. I have had a blast the last few days.

    Note to self though....
Decided I don't actually like milk tray. Don't know what it is but just tastes a bit stale :(
On the bright side though I am not meant to be eating them anyway so other 3 boxes are perfectly safe and will be kept for presents.
I will not... I repeat will not be testing the chocolate fingers as only have 3 tins and they are for my kids houses at Christmas.

Oh well I will console myself with my love of the Special K strawberry moments, far better for me and taste a lot nicer.

When did I go off chocolate?

Westie is now well aware of the coupon being for the 33 wash. I made a mistake you see and brought though the 11 wash but sa checked immediately. Oh well fair play:)

In d'donald the young lad happily took several APGs (he did ask for receipts but gave them back when I asked for them) but when it came to the Ariel he asked an older lady and she said "has she got the right one, is it the £3 one" and I thought 'oh dear' but then she said "that's fine!":D
