  • This is precisely the kind of post that divides people and causes upset.

Grass roots has genuine concerns and aired them, but did so in a fair and polite manner. I replied likewise, and so the exchange continues. We may not agree on everything but are adult enough to have a frank exchange within the realms of politeness.

Then we get this kind of remark which is little more than a boring and uneducated put down.

Welcome to my ignore list! :p

if i was putting anyone down it was myself for my lack of eloquence.your reply is the reason i left the skipping group an did not want to join your elite fb group.anyone can read my posts an see i do not post confrontational posts,so if one jokey post gets me on your ignore list so be it.like you i have had my right of reply and will now not say anymore.not the best start to my day.

I've got a poorly doggy :(:( Little Molly has kennel cough and is wearing herself out retching the phlegm up :( I rang the emergency vet about 9pm to ask for advice a there was some blood in it, but she said that all they can do is treat her with antibiotics as it is an upper respiratory infection

She is asleep at the moment, having just had an hour of coughing, etc. She will rest for a half hour or so, then start again, so I am sitting up with them. Bess did sneeze a couple of times yesterday and was 'wheezy' as if she had a cold, but has been fine today. They have both been off their food today though, just ate a little soft food, ignoring their dry food. They have both slept a lot today

So I am ringing the vet first thing in the morning to get Molly an appointment and get her checked and on antibiotics as soon as possible. The vet advised that she would be in for a very uncomfortable couple of days though :(

Sorry to hear about Molly. Hope she feels better soon, must be such a worry. I worry about my dog as much as I worry about my kids lol.

  • Good morning.
I hope little Molly gets better soon 3Dogs, I would second the baby cough syrup my vet recommends this too as it only eases their throat and therefore stops the cycle of the cough irritating the throat making them cough.
I use honey, lemon and gliserine on my puppy boy but my puppy girl doesn't like the taste so she gets the one with blackcurrant. I always have a stock of these in the house as my puppy girl constantly gets a sore throat when she gets together with her litter mates, she wants to play but they're too lazy so she barks and barks at them until they get peed off with her and chase her!

Thank you warby68 for the info on the toysrus offer, I'll have a look tonight to see what I can get DS.

I hope today will be a better one, I have to deliver a few toys to people who bought from me and then wait in on someone else picking up a toy garage, I would have delivered but she insisted on picking it up herself.
    I'll pop by later:)
