O2 Company association 30% discounts

I have a discount applied to my account at present, as I used to work at a company which was associated this way with O2... It's great, I pay £28 something for a £41 tarrif... Unfortunately the company I worked for ended their contract, (I believe it is available to large companies who negotiate a deal with O2 for the company phones, and the staff discount is a spin off), and when I upgrade I will loose my 30% discount, unless I can get another number from somewhere.

There is a list, which tells the O2 staff which companies are participating. There are quite a number of them, (including McDonalds)
I'm struggling to find anyone who can help me out, and have been ready to upgrade for about two years... Basically I have been too ill to chase it up... Now my phone's about as weary as me, and I have to replace v.soon :undecided

When I took it out, the discount was applicable to existing customers also, but I am aware of some changes on these deals.
Also, it is available at all stores, but only through O2 stores directly, so don't be fobbed off by staff who aren't aware of it... I had no trouble at all aquiring mine.
(This info I have provided as I have read on other forums that McD's staff have been given the run around)

I was hoping someone somewhere might have a code and be kind enough and able to allow me to use it once out of their five uses? :embarasse
I also hope it might make more people aware this exists, as many people aren't aware of it, and it is a fantastic saving!

By the way, I am sorry if this has already part of a thread, but I couldn't find a way to filter the threads, and there are thousands of them, so may need advice on that too x

I'm sure I read a while ago that when had ended and O2 now offer a credit on your account instead.

Retentions can always offer a better deal than you would have got via the company discount anyway.
Tell them you're leaving and it's almost a certainty you'll be offered the same or better deal.
If not, then shop around and find someone who will.

You would only continue to receive the 30% off until you upgrade your account. The offer of 30% off has not run since the launch of the iPhone and has been replaced by the above mentioned one off credit applied to the bill

It's a discount scheme for employees of participating companies. As you aren't employed by any of these companies you are considering defrauding their system to retain your discount? Why don't you ask the police if they are participating in the scheme, they might help you out.

I work for a company where we get there 30% discount. Won't say who it's is in case MSE Andrea thinks I'm trying to advertise. You can get the discount for other members of your family too.

This is correct - 30% is now only available to O2 staff only.

If your company has moved all its phones to another network, you might ask whether they have similar offers.

But I agree with the others that there should be scope for an O2 retentions deal
