I think the thread has been useful in that you have clearly given thought to defending and justifying any future allegations of fronting. Hopefully it will be useful to anyone else reading.

The arguments you have outlined are quite strong. I would just suggest you monitor relative use if the car and resist any requests by him to put on a private reg with his initials, go faster stripes, fancy wheels etc..

ps I really don't like the idea of these tracker boxes

No me neither, partly on the grounds of the "big brother" objection to being "watched" 24/7 and partly because I'm not always so good as sticking to 30 myself!
