Hopefully some of you nice people may be able to help (and save me forking out more money than I need to!).
We have a stratford multi fuel burner that heats our water and central heating. There is a switch on the chimney breast that we have to leave off and a switch in the cupboard in the kitchen that we have to have on to heat the water and then once it gets to a certain temperature it starts to bubble and we flick the switches so the hot water then diverts to the central heating. Now a few weeks ago we had lit the burner and were waiting for it to start to bubble, when it started bubbling I flicked the switches except this time it didnt stop and hot water started pouring from the over flow pipe outside onto our patio!!
I got a plumber out and he said the ballc0ck had gone in the boiler, so he replaced it and it seemed to be ok. A few days later we also had the chimney swept so all was good....or so we thought!
Since then the water has not got above lukewarm, it used to get so hot it would take your skin off and none of the radiators work!
Any suggestions on what could have gone wrong? I know nothing about wood burners / central heating systems so please be gentle

I'd suggest contacting Chris at Fahrenheit Stoves - he's "the man" for this type of system - he's even diagnosed problems from 100 miles away when the local fitters here were completely stumped!0

Thanks for the quick reply! Im not even sure where the problem is to be honest whether its the burner, the boiler, or something else, all I know is we are cold unless we are in the living room a few feet from the burner and Im sick of boiling the kettle 50 times for a bath!!!

I will definately give them a ring tomorrow, we are not far from Wakefield so thats perfect, thank you!!!Member of the £2 savers club
