Best 3g signal in South London?
Hi
Grateful for any advice
Currently on Giffgaff which uses O2 network, thinking of switching due to outages, but generally happy with the 3G signal quality. Think of moving to Virgin which uses the T mobile/Orange network. Grateful for any comments? Thanks

I've lived in about 4 different areas of south London and have never found a problem with 02.0

Depends where abouts you are.
I live in a mobile black-spot in London, when looking on a map there is literally one black square over the area I live in and everywhere within about 5 minutes walk. Its quite rare, there are few of them in London. Its because I live in a protected area and phone masts are not allowed. Having said that, when my mum comes to visit she is able to get a sort-of-signal via 02 so I'm wondering if they have a stronger signal or just better technology, or it could be the Blackberry.
It's not just the signal, its how clogged the signal can get and if you can make a call without it cutting out because everyone else is using that signal at the same time.
It's also about the handset itself, some are better then others at finding and retaining a decent signal (as I found out to my detrement when changing from a Nokia to an LG a few years ago).
Don't forget things like time of day- the signal may be busy at certain times of the day- depends when you use the phone and if your going online where speed for some can be everything (people working, people playing games, people who are just very inpatient...). This however may be meaningless if your not going to use your phone at peak times in busy areas.
I'd ask people around you what network they are on and to give their own opinion as where you are in general (eg "South London) is never going to get as useful a feedback as exactly where you are.0
