re-using envelopes?

Most of my envelopes seem to have too many company logos to really make them suitable for re-use as envelopes (can't be bothered to scribble all the stuff out), but I do open them neatly then keep them fastened together with a bulldog clip: a refillable notepad! Very handy for making lists and meal-plans.

envelopes...
you can buy special labels (from charity shops often) to stick over the old addressee bit. this makes it quite clear that you are recycling envelopes for a positive reason (to help the environment/charity), not because you are 'tight'
open them out, and you have four sides of cheap and cheerful note paper. or drawing paper if you (or you kids) are so inclined.
if you have the time and patience to trim them down, they are fab for re-filling message blocks for virtually no cost. (a mindless activity to do whilst you're watching eastenders etc perhaps? )
send them to school with the kids dinner money etc in (bit of tape on the back to seal it, and write the childs name on clearly)
remove all edges that have come into contact with the glue, and any plastic windows, and recycle as you would normal paper.
cut off one of the corners to form a triangle shape, and viola, you've got yourself a bookmark!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Personally I`d reuse an unfranked stamp, but sadly I`ve never had one.
I've been really lucky and have received a few peices of mail with unfranked stamps on them. But for a long time nearly every item of mail my mum sends me from Norway seems to come un- or partially franked.:D So I cut out these stamps, put them in a parcel or letter for mum, and she uses them again. I think there's one or two of the stamps that are racking up some quite considerable mileage now! :T0
