I have been an ebay seller for 10 years and have excellent feedback, I sold a pair of trainers and today have an email from the buyer saying that they wore them once and the sole fell off. These trainers were brand new never worn in box and I know there was noting wrong with them. He wants a full refund and im not happy. Is there anything that I can do I have a feeling im being scammed, this guy only has a few feedback and its a new account. Thanks

Id ask for picture of proof and if rightly so this has happened then ask them to send back to you and then check them over - correct size, colour, markings etc.
I have never had a pair of trainers where the sole fell off, but none the less..
I wouldn't i repeat wouldn't refund without having the actual genuine product in your hand first.Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -
They are entitled to send them back to you for a full refund of original payment.
If you have the original receipt of purchase then return them to the retailer if possible.
If they send different trainers back to you then you will need to contact Ebay.
Difficult to tell if they are scamming you without the evidence.0 -
Ive asked for photos like you said. See what they come up with, I have also said I will not refund without the item being returned. They have replied saying they want me to pay for them to be returned is this right? These trainers were exclusive to JJb which no longer exsists so im wondering if they had some before these and ill be getting the old ones2010

Depends if you are a business as to the return postage situation.0

Even that wont work. For that to be "proof" you will need the police to be there upon opening of the package and all sorts. You have been scammed and unfortunately you cant do much.
They probably have a second pair which is the bad pair and they have used yours to get a freebie, or try0 -
Or what if they genuinely are faulty?? I had a pair of trainers where the sole started pealing off after the first time I wore them.
I'd wait until you have the photos then decide if it's genuine or not.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

In the Ebay Resolution Centre you can appeal a case if your item comes back damaged, in a different condition, or if the package contains something other than the item.0 -

I think they have more important things to be dealing with.0 -

And where is the proof that the buyer sent the wrong item? Who is to say the seller didnt put in a different item?0 -

That is what I am saying.... The seller may have been scammed here and I said; if so... you have probably no hope of appealing as its hard to proof who sent what etc0
