Morning, heack of a frost here this morning. Really heavy. Pretty to look at though.
Got lots done yesterday, both work and my own stuff, so feeling a little more in control. Today I am out at work this afternoon and will work from home this morning. Hopefully also get a bit more hosuework done.
Lunch will be HM soup and for dinner I've taken some left overs out of the freezer as this afternoon's work is a little way away and I probably won't feel like cooking when I get in.
Trying to sort out all the official 'stuff' around my son's recent move. Trying to get him registered at a doctor is turning into a major problem (as he has no photo ID) and when his carers have taken him to the surgery to register in person there has been a queue out the door. As my son is autistic waiting is very stressful for him and it's an invitation for an incident so carers have taken him away again without seeing anyone. Latest plan is to do it when I am there so that 2 of us can take him for a walk, while 1 waits in the queue and texts us when they are near the front.
Also problems getting his Blue Badge as all his proof of residency comes to me, as do all his bills etc as I am his Financial Deputy and they need something in his name at his adress that comes from some official body. It's a nightmare!
Still we will get there and we have faced far worse than this.
Have good days all and hope all things go well for you.

    Morning all,

Hard frost here as well this morning, OH had to scrape his car, luckily I am under the car post so the frosts dont get me :T

Got a small wash on, which I shall hang on the line, its bright and sunny, so they should gey some air at least.

Got to take dd to the bank this morning, on her way to work, she needs to get a bankers draft for her visa for Africa next year, its getting very close now, need to book her jabs soon.

Dinner tonight will be the last of the lamb from the leg I bought a few weeks ago, I think I worked out we had 10 meals from it, so not too bad for £12. I will do yorkies mash and veg with it.

Need to have a tidy through, and go and see my dad today,

Can I ask everyone to put some food and water out for the garden birds, they really struggle this this time of year.

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all,

someone calm me down will you i'm beginning to panic over Christmas.

I cant see how i can pay for all Christmas again this year with my limited funds and hubby is thinking of replacing his Sat Nav. I fear another argument via text is will be forthcoming as 'tell the kids they aint having anything' isnt the response i want to hear.

Carly i'm sick of my OH too if it makes you feel any better and my OH is 150 miles away. :D

Its another wrap up warmly day today. Looks like another day of wearing OH fleece dressing gown over my day clothes (his is warmer than mine).

    Bahh!

Have a great day all, I'll do my best to have one too.

  • Good morning everyone :)

Very chilly and foggy this morning, really not good driving conditions and the motorway was starting and stopping all the way which made me late.

Mince was cooked last night and split into portions in the freezer for spag bol, chilli con carne etc and I made one lot of meatballs for tomorrow. Tonight's dinner is curry with some of the mince and some left over boiled potatoes from the weekend. There are chappattis in the freezer so it should be nice and quick.

Our bird feeders and full but I think there are too many cats around to attract birds to them, which is a real shame because i love watching them.

I bought some tiny plant pots in a little tray in a charity shop on my way home last night. They are for my GDD to decorate and then plant for her teacher as a small Christmas gift. We are also going to make a calendar for my DD, some pages will be painted, others will be photos and am sure it will all be full of very glittery, sparkly decoration!

Back to work so will leave with well wishes for sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or want them. Have a super day :)

Hi all - Brrrrrr, frosty one today; Dylan didn't hang about going for his early morning pee!:rotfl:

Mr LW's desktop pc has died.:( He's thinking of a high-end gaming pc.
It's not as bad as it sounds from a relationship point of view, as we're both keen gamers, just an expense we could do without. However.... I took a raincheck on a birthday present (couldn't think of anything I needed at the time), we didn't give each other anniversary presents, and his birthday is next month, so maybe we'll combine the lot, throw in Yule for good measure, and get one.;)

Meantime, I'm loading as many games as I can on the new (to me - it's a 2nd hand from Mr LW's work) laptop. I've got quite a few of the older ones on, also Dragon Age Origins:T plus the expansion game Awakening,:T also Dragon Age 2;:T but I haven't been able to get it to load Oblivion.:( This may be because we've played it so much that the disk is damaged, though.

I've just constructed a Shepherd Spy for dins - we'll have the first half lunchtime today, as Mr LW is wfh today, and the 2nd half tomorrow, as he'll be on Late shift which effectively means I have to expect him home when I see him.:rotfl:

I need to do a raid on W@itr0se later; I have a shopping list as long as my arm.

Dylan is currently snoozing in front of the sofa; from the way his legs are twitching, I think he may be dreaming about the squirrels we chased off the bird-feeders yesterday.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Morning all. Thought I would pop my head in and say hi. Nothing os mind :o

Baby is doing well. Growing rather rapidly! He likes his grub and sleep just like his big brother lol. Smiling now and poke his tongue out at you :rotfl: normally feeds 4/5 hrs in the night but last night, he went 7 hrs  during the day he feeds between every 2-3hrs  still can't complain as he sleeps well at night. Shall get him weighed tomorrow so will see how much he has grown.

My bigger boy is full of a cough and cold along with the rest of the nursery I think! They were all coughing and sneezing waiting to go in this morning. Got his school forms to fill out this morning. Can't believe I'm having to think about that already! He is growing up way too quick. Too little for school :( he is desperate to go though lol. He's loving being a big brother although when I put him to bed last night, he declared that baby was boring and most moat exciting thing he does is wees out of the bath  he can't do that. Said I hope he hadn't tried and he just laughed  boys! Lol

Anyway enough drivel. Have been lurking on and off. Hugs to all them that need/want one :)

    Afternoon All
Just having a quick read while having a break and a coffee whilst tackling Mount Ironmore, and keeping my eye on the Tennis on BBC2. Just half a dozen items left now, but need to sit down otherwise backache takes over.
Two songs relate to today, The Rain in Spain, and raindrops keep falling on my head;). Yes you guessed it we have a rainy day hence the ironing, refuse to do it when the sun is out.
xcarly maybe trying playing games on yours while he is on his and don't do any laundry ironing or cooking, he may get the message:D
Just going to pop a Pork Loin found lurking in the freezer into the SC for dinner tonight, won't take long on High. Have some LO Broccoli Cheese, & Green Beans, and will add Mash &'Carrots.

Take care all (((hugs))) all round. DG
