I think I'm going to start putting actual S&S values in my posts/sig, otherwise nobody can see the contrast vs. OPs?
Yes please! I'd love to know. Your sig does seem awfully low for your posts :S0 -
Cal furry, I saw that you intended to read my whole diary.... I think that would be a real waste of time for a person with such a big to do list! But it will send you to sleep quickly...
Well done on all you achieved bin 2014,

Ha, good point! Squat toilets scare the bejeesus out of me. Technically I shouldn't because I squat with weights in the gym, but that is something else!!0 -
Sigh.
Don't you hate family sometimes? Or the complications?
Long story short; big brother who is more like my little brother. I've loaned him money in the past because I am *terrible* at saying no, to the point where I give people lifts home even though they live in the direct opposite direction, etc. He's always paid me back, but sometimes several months or years after the agreed details. He's currently trying to get divorced from his wife who spent money like it grew on trees and was specially Fedexed to her free of charge. She has put him in thousands of pounds of debt.
Now he's looking at a career change and wants me to be a guarantor for a loan for a course. I really don't want to. I know I'm gonna have to say no but I hate being put in that position anyway. And I think he thinks I'm a yes.0 -
Easy get out - you are now married! In the manner that you would deal with a pushy salesperson or a contractor who you think is offering a crappy quote, just say that you need to discuss it with OH because it's now 'our'(your) money. Not sexist, works for men and women.
Don't mix money and family unless they're going to starve would be my thinking, bad as it may make you feel0 -
The sooner you tell him, the sooner he will explore other options.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Really don't do it. Oh and I are owed tens of thousands by a family member. Having it back would make a significant difference to us but we will be 90 by the time we get it the way things are going. We never thought for a moment that it would end up like this. It is lucky we can manage without it but it has caused problems.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. That's horrible!

Thanks guys.
Don't worry, it's a definite no, was just venting. I just wish he hadn't asked to put me in an awkward position if that makes sense?
Hope everyone has had a good day
