50% off for a year + £50 off ur bill, (worth it?)

Options
I had a leaflet through the door this morning, sky offering me 50% off for a year + £50 off ur bill + half price movies and sports

With Xmas coming would it be worth taking out the offer. i seem to remember last year i had movies over Xmas and i did quite enjoy it.

i don't mind paying £10.75 a month as long as i can cancel movies after Xmas, can i do this?
Sky customer services were overly excited about me taking it out and i was scared that they would say pretty much what i wanted to hear just to get me to sign up.

To answer the question in the title; it is worth it if you dont have Sky but want Sky.

I may be wrong here but I dont think you can cancel movies after sucha short period if it was part of the package deal, if you have it as an 'add on' after installation you would only need to give a months notice though. If this is incorrect, my mistake, its just how I understand it.

From the detail above, I would say No, you cant cancel your movies after a few months, its part of the deal so you have to keep it for a year (or buy your way out of the contract)

the code or ref must be somewhere as they would need to track the success or failure of this campaign. i would be interested in trying this as they havent offered me anything like this to keep me from cancelling.

  • i think what you are referring to, is a sky's customer specific mailshot offer, and it gets applied on your account on sky's side, so there is no need for code or reference number...., you call them advise that you received this mail offer, they will look in to your account and use the offer to give you the deal

It's not a referral , it's an employee promotion so all get removed.
