I've never heard of a DVD player that can play games, and they're probably rubbish. Is it possibly 64 Mega Drive games or something?

You cant play games on a DVD player.. aside from maybe those really really basic plug into tv 500-in-one games things for a tenner.

There are plenty of DVD games around, we have "Who wants to be a millionaire" that you just pop in the DVD player to play using the remote. Phillips (and others) make DVD players that come with a games disc you just pop in. It's unlikely you'll have one playing Halo 4 but there are most certainly DVD player games available.

ETA: Here is a list of standalone DVD Player games available.

Really thats more of selection from a number of different menu options. Its as much 'playing a game on a dvd player' as say.. 'try and hit the pause button just as XYZ happens during the film' would be a game on a dvd player.

Looking closely at the photographs, and a bit of detective work leads here
    http://www.native32.com/english/gameList.aspx

Note the list of headings near the top exactly matches the list in one of the photos.

So looks like very simple games played with the DVD control buttons. I doubt they will be the kind of thing I would pay that much for (£160)
You can get a cheap 2 screen with 2 screens and two controllers for around £70 - there is a Philips one on there now.

The only reference to games (that I noticed) on that Amazon page is where it says the DVD player has "TV & GAME function".

Does that just mean that it has some kind of input allowing another video source (from an external TV or games console) to be displayed on the screen...?
