Hi there, I called Orange, my former employers today to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy S3, and inbetween all the waffle about this and that, I was on the verge of agreeing to the new contract, when I asked to have the insurance which used to be £6 a month, one of the better value insurances, and I was told that EE do not have an insurance option at the moment! So I actually WANT the insurance that people mostly refuse, and they cant give it to me!!! They say they are launching something called 'Clone' something, but I dont see any reference to insurance.
Has anyone else experienced this?? I particularly wanted the insurance with the network to avoid the kerfuffle of going through a third party!!
Madness!

Madness would be to offer a product that no longer is profitable to the business, you said yourself it was good value.
Products change all the time, I'd guess that the insurance was not profitable enough or they need to merge the former Orange and former T-Mobile policies into one.
No doubt it will cost more or lesser cover than the old plans, and you will have to either buy the new offering or go to a 3rd party.0 -
Clone Phone is their insurance.
