Equifax alert system confusion !

I get free Equifax alerts via my Capital one card, so today I got an email from Equifax (Genuine Link and Name) which says:
"This e-mail is to notify you that there has been a change to your credit file. To view your notification, please click on the following link, which will take you to your Member Centre login page."
And when I do I get:
"You currently do not have any alerts."
Has this happened to anyone else, I can request a credit report (Free), but this will be my last Free one as I only get two a year.

If you are concerned, view the report. Even when you have used up your free reports, additional ones are only £2.0

Is it possible the report has been updated with monthly account status, ie another payment made on time? Or do "alerts" just normally refer to searches?0

No 'Alerts' are generated for any change, so search added or deleted, new agreement added or deleted or changed, or any change in status.
Will wait until tomorrow and if it still says nothing I will get a report, normally I would not bother but I know that an account (Old Abbey Credit Card) was closed on 30th October 2006, so it would be deleted after 6 years and it could be that as when all the others got removed after 6 years I got an alert, although they actually said "Credit Agreement deleted from your file".0 -
I got an alert today too but nothing showing online0

I've had alerts before, when the change doesn't appear on the website until a couple of days later.0

Yep same here, got an alert but nothing showing when I logged in.
It does sometimes take them a couple of days to appear on your dashboard
