HSBC Mortgage Protection Plan with Critical Illness Cover

Hi,
I made a complaint to HSBC to which they replied that they are "unable to support your complaint" As a result I thought that I had no chance of winning my case. However, I was recently contacted by a company who agreed to look at the case. They told me that as I have already been refused there is nothing that they can do.
So as my final response letter mentions the possibility of complaining to the FOS the 6 months has elapse and is now nearly 12 months. My question is is it still worth contacting the FOS or is it just another waste of time.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Joe

Why are you complaining?
1 - its not PPI
2 - it will have a much better audit trail than PPI sales
3 -are you saying you are not going to die or suffer a critical illness?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
How is anyone supposed to know given you've not given any reason at all as to why you're complaining?0

FOS will accept a timebar request after this time unless there are "exceptional circumstances" why you could not ask it to consider your complaint before.0
