After taking some very helpful advice, I chose to ignore what turned out to be 3 letters from Civil enforcement demanding payment. The last was recieved on 17-12-12.
I thought this would be the end of the matter until today, 5 months later!!
I have recieved County court claim form from what looks like northampton county court asking wether I admit to the claim or wish to dispute it!!
This has now bought back concerns over my next step.
Can anyone give me advice or is this another veiled threat from this company??

This is a real claim so please take the advice above, look at the linked thread with Bargepole's advice, and get pepipoo posters' help with a defence to see the scammers off once and for all.

Do not ignore court papers or you lose automatically by default. But remember the fact they've issued a claim certainly does NOT = a win, nor even any hearing taking place if they pull out when they see you defend it!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good stuff, when you have won this can you please update the thread so we can show the advice works.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
